Another mixed bag for today:
Mets: Tough loss last night. Heilman had a brain fart, should have let Lo Duca handle the ball. That's all I have to day about that.
Yankees: Randy Johnson is done. Over. A-Rod with a typical performance against Boston last night. 0-3, 2 errors leading to 4 unearned runs.
Congratulations. You are the anti-clutch. Again.
Pierre: Robbing Bonds of 714 was great. Not better than the Hunter catch at the All-Star game but at least this counted. It's apparent though that Bonds is locked in again and that this will happen within the next day or so.
Adelman: I think this has more to do with an empty trophy case than consistency. The Maloof's probably feel like the Kings under-achieved the past 4 years. Especially when Webber was healthy and throwing around triple doubles. But the guy made eight straight appearances in the playoffs and has a 752-481 lifetime record in the NBA. Not bad. He makes some peculiar moves at times but I think he's a good coach. Shouldn't be out of work long.
Spurs/Mavs Devin Harris, HELLO!! Him and Josh Howard caused some serious problems last night in San Antonio. They could not stop their penetration or outside shooting. Good job by AJ making the adjustments after making a full assessment on Game 1. He knows Parker and Ginobili are a step behind those two right now. Speed kills.
Pistons: Still firing on all cylinders, there is nothing Lebron can do to stop this. I'm sure he'll drop 50 at some point during this series to salvage a game but this Detroit team is just rock solid. After a long pre-season they are deeply focused on ring number two. And Mike Brown's decision to intentionally foul Wallace towards the end of the first half is a bit retarded. Rookie mistake for sure. He's in way over his head.
Shaq I'm curious to see how he reacts to the referee's tonight. Or how the referee's react to him is more like it. He has gotten the raw end on alot of calls so far. And him in foul trouble is a disaster for the Heat in this series.
Riley says he's smart enough to figure it out himself. We'll see.
Britney is pregnant again. I'm speechless.
Padrino out.
