Few things going on that I would like to touch on.....This is better than Fluff (which I need a new word for that, Fluff sounds a bit gay).
- First, Bonds 3 behind the Babe is just crazy. However you feel about him you can't deny the importance of this. I believe Bonds only major goal is eclipsing Ruth. I do not think he will reach Hammerin Hank's record. I think it's safe. He can't even walk, watching him play left field is painful.
- The decision to throw John Lackey out of the game last night in Anaheim was the stupidest thing I've seen from these Umpires in a while. Lackey throws a curveball on the inner-half of the plate, as it bends in Kendall leans in to maybe let it graze his giant elbow pad, then looks at Lackey who must have said something along the lines of "If I wanted to hit you I would've hit you" or "Lean over the plate again and see what happens" and charges the mound. Now Lackey, defending himself, wrestles with Kendall as benches clear and gets tossed out of the game. Tossed for what? What should he have done? Run to center field? Sprint to the dugout? Ridiculous. You want a pitcher thrown out of the game, charge the mound for no reason.
- Talk about a physical series. The SUNS-LAKERS series has been like the old Knick-Heat series back in the late nineties. Raja Bell out of nowhere with the clothesline from hell on Kobe and Kwame asserting himself inside with elbows and hip checks. I like it. That's Basketball. The other series have been pretty good too. The Clippers won a series for the first time in 30 years. Shaun Livingston is becoming an excellent point guard and Elton Brand is a true franchise player. Solid team, they can make some serious noise this year. My bad on this, I blew it. Nuggets have no real talent on their roster other than Melo. Once Kmart got the boot it was over. I mean Earl Boykins playing more than 30 minutes in an NBA game is absurd. Spurs not playing well right now but surviving. They must close out at Arco which let me tell you, will be buzzing. Those damn thunderstix are everywhere.
Vince Carter is unstoppable. Whoever hates him, hates him for dogging while in Toronto and dogging every injury the guy has ever had but he is still a top ten player in the league today. Cavs-Wiz continue their slugfest tonight. This series had seven games written all over it. Is it me or is Miami toying with the Bulls like a cat does a dead mouse? All in all, good playoff basketball so far. Looking forward to the semis.
- John Daly you can't be serious. I mean a few hundred thousand, maybe a mil or two.
But 50-60 MILLION!! And now you think you need help?!! WHAT!!!??? I'm thinking, oh about 59 MILLION ago you should have thought about help. Your crazy.
- So far Noah is saying that he will stay in school, he's loving the Rock Star treatment (who wouldn't). I personally don't think he's ready. The weight room is calling his name.
- Texans needed a face for the defense. They got Williams. The debate of whether or not he should have gone over Bush will go on forever. Both players change the gameplan of opposing teams. For the Texans it was, which side do we want opposing teams worrying about? Offense or defense? They chose defense. Let it rest.
By the way, with the free cap money they have. They should sign Ty Law.
Padrino Out.

1. Vince Carter is a punk. It's ashame we can't appreciate his basketball talent because of this.
2. I loathe Bonds like I loathe Mayo.
3. Point taken. Picture this though, 6th inning, 1-1 game, team your playing has a shitty pen, you take exception to a inside pitch, charge the mound, get tossed, opposing pitcher gets tossed and then go on to win 9-1.
4. The thing I hate most is basketball with no physicality.
5. He is cool, but crazy too.
